The Special Collections and Archives

Welcome to Special Collections & Archives!

Knox College Special Collections and Archives preserves and provides access to a variety of collections that support the teaching and research endeavors of the campus, as well as the wider community. Due to their rarity and enduring value, materials are non-circulating and kept in a secure, environmentally controlled section of the library.  Patrons are always welcome to view these materials in the Reading Room during open hours.

Though we preserve student materials, information about recent graduates can be obtained from the Office of Alumni Relations (309-341-7238). Official academic records can be obtained from the Office of the Registrar (309-341-7205)

Hours and Location

Special Collections is located on the second floor of Seymour Library and is open Monday - Friday (8:30 am - noon, 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm). Hours may vary during the summer and campus holidays.

Visitor parking near the library is accessible via the Cherry Street parking lot and Alumni Hall circle. Find more information on college parking here. The campus map may be useful for exploring other historical and enriching areas of our campus.
