Borrowing Library Materials

Knox Primo is a new search system for finding materials in the Knox libraries and beyond!

With Knox Primo you can

  • Find materials in the Knox libraries, including course reserves, ebooks, and films
  • Identify and request materials for loan by I-Share libraries
  • Search for and access thousands of full text journal articles

Sign in to Knox Primo to take full advantage of the system's features, such as requesting from I-Share and linking directly to full text resources. Sign in to Knox Primo using your Knox email credentials (the same way you sign into my.knox.edu).

What is different about Knox Primo?

Knox Primo is one system that allows you to search for

  • Materials owned by the Knox libraries
  • Materials in the I-Share system
  • Journal articles and other full text materials

How do you sign in to Knox Primo?

Use your Knox email credentials to sign in to Knox Primo, just as if you were signing into my.knox.edu.

Why sign in to Knox Primo?

It is important to sign in to Knox Primo to gain access to services in the system:

  • Your library account where you can see what you have checked out, what you have requested from I-Share, and make renewal requests
  • Links that make full text or streaming media available are only available if you login
  • I-Share requesting is only available if you login to Knox Primo; but please note, due to the pandemic, I-Share requesting is temporarily not available at present

Important note: The full transition to Knox Primo is still underway. Full linking capability to external resources is not yet complete. Please bear with us as we finish this transition task.
