Removing Items from Reserve When the Reading List Expires

When a reading list reaches its expiration date Alma will process the items on the reading list for reshelving to their original locations. These items show up on the Pick From Shelf list. 

1. Go to Fulfillment > Resource Requests > Pick From Shelf.

2. Items that need to be removed from Reserve show up in the Pick List with a reserve location:

3. If you need to verify that the item should be restored to its original location, click on number next to "Requests:" and see that the Request Type=Restore Item.

4. Retrieve the items from the reserve shelves. Go to Fulfillment > Resource Requests > Scan in Items > Change Item Information tab. Make sure the "Change Type" is set to "Restore" and scan in the items.

If you see a message about "there are requests on this item" click through to continue the scan.

Manually Remove Library-Owned Items From Reserves

To manually remove items owned by the Knox libraries from reserve:

1. Sign into Alma at the library that has the reserves you wish to remove from Reserve.

2. Pull items from the Reserves shelf that need to be remove. 

3. Go to Fulfillment > Scan in Items. Click on the "Change Item Information" tab. Then select Restore as the change type:

4. Scan in the barcode. 

5. Remove any reserves tape from the spine and any book flags. Reshelve the item(s).
