Knox College Library Policies and Procedures
Patrons can cancel their hold requests in Knox Primo:
1. Log into Knox Primo
2. Click on the patron name in the upper right on the menu bar
3. Click on "My Requests"
4. Find the item in the list and click on the CANCEL button; confirm the cancelation
The patron will receive an email notification about the cancelation.
After a hold request has been made in either Knox Primo or directly in Alma library staff can cancel the hold request either before the item gets to the hold shelf or when the item is on the hold shelf. Be sure you are in Alma at the Seymour Library location:
1. In Alma go to Fulfillment > Resource Requests > Monitor Requests & Item Processes
2. In the menu on the left, look under "Request/Process Type" and click on "Patron Physical Item ..."
3. In the list of items, find the item for which you want to cancel the hold. Click the CANCEL button next to the title.
4. In the Confirm Request Cancellation dialog box, choose a Cancellation Reason from the drop-down list. Also uncheck the "Notify user" check box if that is appropriate. Click CONFIRM.
