Circulation: Course Reserves

Finding Reserves

All reserve materials can be found through the Knox Library catalog. Since reserves can be held at either of the libraries on campus, it's best to check the catalog to verify the location.

You can access the course reserve search two different ways:

From the library's web page, click on the link to find Course Reserves:

Course Reserves can then be searched by individual course, instructor, or department.

Note the call number and take it to the circulation desk to check out the reserve.

There are 2 types of reserves: Closed and Open

Closed Reserves

  • Held at circulation desk
  • Checked out with ID. Check out time set by instructor
  • Can be taken out of library & renewed once over the phone
  • Most common type of reserve

Open Reserves

  • Open shelves on first floor of Seymour Library
  • May not leave the library

Reserve Policies

Because reserves will be used by your classmates as well, please keep these policies in mind:
