Getting Films via Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad)

When to Use

If a film is not available at Knox and you've not been able to get a copy from I-Share, then you may be able to get a copy through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

Note: Requests for films from ILL should be made only when the film is needed for research or to support work in a Knox course.

Creating an Account

Before using the ILLiad service for the first time, you'll need to create an account. This is separate from your Knox accounts and your library account.

Requesting Films through ILLiad

To request a film through the ILLiad service, login to your account and select Audio-Visual Material under the New Request menu:

Then fill in the form with as much information about the film as you can and click the Submit Request button:

ILLiad A/V Policies

When borrowing A/V materials from ILLiad, keep these policies in mind:

  • Must be related to coursework or research
  • Pick up and return at Seymour Library Circulation Desk
  • Loan periods vary
  • Renewals vary
  • $1/day late fines

For more information about requesting materials through ILLiad, see the ILLiad FAQ.
