If you want to listen to various pieces from different CDs in the Naxos Music Library or Naxos Music Library Jazz, you'll need to create a playlist. In Naxos you can create multiple folders, and within each folder you can create multiple playlists.
Before you can create your own playlists, you'll first need to create a free account within Naxos. Creating an account will allow you to create, edit, and delete your playlists from anywhere with an Internet connection.
To create your account:
After you've signed up for your Naxos account, you can then navigate to the Playlists page and log in using the e-mail address and password with which you registered.
Once you've created your Naxos account, you can begin creating folders and playlists. When you add tracks to playlists, you can either create a new playlist, or add the tracks to a playlist you've already created.
You can organize all of your playlists and folders of playlists in the Playlists section of Naxos.
To add tracks to your playlists:
Note: The "Add to Playlist" option will only appear if you are signed in to your personal Naxos account. If this option does not appear when you view a CD, go back to the Playlists tab and log in to your account.
To stream a playlist click the green play button next to the desired list in the Playlists tab.
To edit the name and/or description of a playlist, click the pencil icon next to the desired playlist.
To see the list of tracks in a given playlist, click the playlist title. From this view you can play individual tracks, re-order the tracks, and delete tracks.
When you access the Playlists area in Naxos, you'll notice that there are also tabs for "Knox College Playlists" and "Naxos Music Library Playlists."
The Knox College Playlists tab is where professors can create playlists for courses. If your professor created playlists for your specific music course, they are likely here.
The Naxos Music Library Playlists present another way for you to browse the NML collection. Created by the Naxos staff, these playlists are organized thematically into folders.
For both of these playlist types, you can listen to entire playlists or individual tracks within a playlist. However, as students you cannot add, edit, or delete playlists in these areas.
When finished using NML, please click the LOG-OUT link at the top of the page.
We have a limited number of seats in NML, and logging out will help to ensure that your space is cleared.
