America's News is a collection of newspapers from the U.S. 

Nexis Uni is good for national and international news as well as legal and business and trade news

The Library also has subscriptions to The New York Times (current file) (click here to learn about getting an account to The New York Times). For international coverage, use The Times Digital Archive (London) covering 1785-2010.

For news from the Galesburg area try:

• Galesburg Register-Mail is online from 1997-present; older issues are available on microfilm at the Galesburg Public Library; the public library has a print index to the paper.
• The Zephyr, also on microfilm (1989-2010) with recent issues in print available in Seymour Library

The Farm, Field and Fireside Agricultural Newspaper Collection, from the University of Illinois, provides digitized versions of important farming newspapers from the late 19th and early 20th century.
